This dazzling kaleidoscope was shockingly shattered with the Russian invasion on the 24th February. The appalling full-scale war that followed has brought the country to its knees, completely devastating the cultural sector while Ukrainians fight for their lives. The world has rallied to provide vital humanitarian aid and support displaced peoples, but what happens to Ukraine when the war is over?

Many museums, zoos, galleries, concert spaces and other cultural establishments have been annihilated by bombings. Those who have survived destruction are at best, closed indefinitely. Taking an optimistic view to the future, to when peace will finally be restored, we must act now to save the institutions that make up the rich cultural tapestry of this beautiful country.

Save the Spot is an online platform dedicated to targeted financial aid to specific venues across the cultural sector. On our platform, you can support an institution of your choice by purchasing a ticket, with 100% of donations going directly to the venues to allow them to rebuild and reopen once the war is over.

HOW WE WORK
Save the Spot is not a fund. This means that we are not collecting or distributing the money. Whenever you buy ‘a ticket’ to support a place on our platform, the full amount is going directly to an organisation of your choice (a standard commission of 2.4% is deducted by the acquiring company Fondy.io for online transactions processing).
